I’m unhappy with the compensation being offered by the acquiring authority. What can I do?
You can challenge the compensation being offered. Our team regularly assists our clients obtaining the maximum amount of compensation by taking into account various factors that often overlooked in the initial valuation provided by the acquiring authority. This process ensures a just and fair amount of compensation is provided to you the landowner.
Where are you based?
Our land acquisition lawyers are based in the heart of North Sydney and provide services throughout NSW via phone, Zoom conferences, in person meetings or email. We have many clients who we conduct work with remotely in particular in regional NSW.
How much are your legal fees?
Our legal fees depend on a multiple factors which can be discussed during an initial consultation conference – however it should be noted that the acquiring authority is obliged to pay legal and valuation costs so you shouldn’t be out of pocket. Following a meeting with us, we will provide a transparent costs agreement which enables you to understand our fees prior to commencing work with us. Alternatively, provision of a costs disclosure can be provided without an initial consultation meeting.
Have you had success with compulsory acquisition before?
Yes, we’ve worked with a number of clients who have had their land acquired/easements acquired and have helped them gain a significant amount of compensation. We are also still actively acting with others in the negotiation process with other acquiring authorities.

My Proposed Acquisition Notice (PAN) has expired, can we still negotiate or formally engage you?
Yes, you can still engage us and you are still able to negotiate even if your PAN period has run out. Please reach out to us to discuss your situation and available options.
